First of all let me say thank you for your participation in all the workshops,
private lessons , Practicas and Milongas last month with Ogie. It was a busy
month for all of us and I can understand that some of you need a rest now . I m
very happy that the "hardliners" are still coming to practica helping me to keep
the momentum alive. especially in a time where some of our "Team INTI" are going
to leave us or are still away.
We
will terribly miss Mel and Annie,and we are still missing Peter and Galina ,
and we will miss Omar and Lily for a while.
Our
tiny community is running on low engine. But we also could find some new members
with Brenda from USA ,unfortunately she is gone again but we will have her back
soon, and gentlemen, try her out, she is lovely to dance with . Jane Chan and
boyfriend Robert, who are developing their passion for the dance. Further, our
youngest Milonguero "Matthew" found his way back to us after a couple of
months break. He will be our future "Taxi dancer" He is learning quickly and he
loves it.
Good news on my mission to prayers, The tango at Made's dance space is
developing quite well, and a big thank you to you Made for your Passion to Tango
and your effort to help the tango club by your contribution, we all feel very
secure and happy in your hands...
I'm
proud to announce that we are going for our first Beginner Workshop at her
studio on next Tuesday . Further we will have Beginner workshops at Ubud soon,
at the Dragonfly Jl Dewi SIta, close to the football field, and I'm very
optimistic, keep your fingers crossed that we can encourage the "Buds" to enter
the circle. I want to see big, big Milongas with crowded dance floors a la
Buenos Aires one day...let's make it big. Now Im living in "Snorland" I can say
that the snors have a fable for latin dance in general. We had a good frequented
jive workshop. Club "Sector" was very generous giving us their meeting room for
the workshop, nice floor and air conditioned all what we need.
The latin dance night at Batu Jimbar was very
impressive, nicely done Ade: Congratulations!!! Snor's let's go on dancing, hope
some of you will get back to Tango one time, you do not know what you are
missing. But anyways for you guys we will always have a surprise workshop
on hand, let's try out the swing next time, it fun.
Short announcement for "Ogiefanclubmembers". He will be back for the month
of July. Several workshops are planned. But different from before we will
split it now in one sessions WS with different themes. It was almost not
possible last time to get the people arranged even they wanted to do the
workshop, just because they could not commit to the dates offered. This
taught me a lesson .
On
several people 's request I m very early this time to publish his private
lesson schedule. You can reserve your lessons with him now. If you want
to get the best hours...be quick. One thing I would like to ask of you all
.... Please make your bookings up to your personal speed and availability.
Please avoid canceling your lesson in the last moment. I cannot arrange
replacement if your cancellation comes on the same day. This happens
sometimes twice or even 3 times in one day. And others would like to have a
lesson and cannot get placement because schedule full. That's annoying. You
all know him, he would never complain about that, so someone has to do it
for him.
