Hola Tangueros y Tangueras

Greetings from Germany.

I am spending a terrific time in Berlin . This is my first time I am dancing tango in Germany . I am very surprised how big tango is here and how natural it blends in with  the city and its people . I feel almost like being in Buenos Aires . Somehow the ambience seems similar. Berlin ’s old buildings, the old ball houses testifying from an old  forgotten time. ” The Neighbourhood “Kreuzberg”is just like San Telmo.

But of course you cannot overlook the typical “german touch”. Everything is accurate, terrible clean and save. People wondering why I always keep my things with me as I got used to the habit to wear a small bag while dancing where I have my things always with me. Here, people just leave their shoes, jackets, bags everywhere.

You can choose from 4-6 Milongas every day. Imagine….

When you enter a Milonga you pay your entry fee which varies from 4-7 Euro and you will find that typical table with all info material about Berlin ’s Tango scene, street and U –bahn  maps with all Milongas and tango schools advertised on the backside. Flyers over flyers from teachers, shoemakers, designers, musicians, offering their services and products. The night starts around 9.30 but the “real dancers” just appear around 1 am. Then, the many argentine dancers in the city but as well some of the very good german teachers demonstrating their skills. Yesterday I watched TANGUERA in the Berliner Staatsoper , the same ensemble I saw in March in Buenos Aires . Later in the night 4 of the couples came to Milonga and show off their dances, terrific, and everybody danced Chacarera as well. I am wondering Berlin people can dance chacarera. The night will go to 4 -5 am , just like our beloved Buenos Aires .

I m sure you had a great time with Ogie, who managed to keep your tango fire burning . He reported me all good things about you and I am happy you are still practicing. Thanks so much Ogie. One more week to go and I will be back .

Now it is time to think about the happenings for the second half of this year.

In order to experience the  excitements from last year again, Tango Bali club is proud to announce  the visit of  2 Tangueros from Buenos Aires .

Ladies , get ready , soon you can dance again until your heels will fall off and Gentlemen you can learn from qualified argentine teachers.

You will expect now the names of our good friends Facundo and Bruno.

Both of them have made an incredible rise of their carriers that they are now in high demand. Bruno is traveling in Europe and Facundo is very busy in Bs As.

Facundo and Bruno cannot make it this year but I asked Facu if he can find us suitable replacement  and he said yes for sure!

Anibal W. Montenegro

Is Facundo’s good friend and his assistant. I met him in person in Facundo’s workshops which were held last March for Tango caravan and I can say I liked to dance with him very much. His style is Tango Nuevo with strong influence of Milongero and Tango Salon. His technique is very precise and of course his lead is very clear. No doubt, he is Facundo ‘s assistant.

Anibal  is 35 years old, 1,76 m high , speaks English, according to Facu he is a good person and a good teacher who is very much looking forward to come to us for 2 month

Further, Franziska’s  friend and famous Plaza Dorrego Performer

Leonardo “de San Telmo”

will visit us in December- January.

He is 1,80 m high, an excellent Folklore and Tango dancer, his terrific appearance got him a role in a film scene for a James Bond  last month in Italy . His  second passion after Tango is Yoga . He will continue his trip to Nepal to meet up with  his ‘Guru’.

Packages:

Both projects have to be financed by selling packages.

We need to sell 15 packages each  in presale to be able to finance their airfare.

One package ( 5 lessons ) cost  140 US for Tango Bali club members and 160 US for non members.  Packages have to be pre- paid but with money back guaranty if the project should be cancelled or delayed.
